Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (referred to as the "Parent") is a New Jersey
holding company, incorporated in 1977, for seven insurance subsidiaries
(individually and collectively referred to as "we," "us," or "our") that
principally offer property and casualty insurance products and services in the
Eastern and Midwestern regions of the United States. Our headquarters are in
Branchville, New Jersey. Our common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Select
Market under the symbol "SIGI." In 2010, we were ranked as the 49th largest
property and casualty group in the United States in A.M. Best and Company's
("A.M. Best") annual list of "Top 200 U.S. Property/Casualty Writers." We have
