We are a specialty biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and
commercialization of innovative treatments for diabetes, which may be safer,
more effective and more convenient for patients. We develop our product
candidates by applying our proprietary formulation technologies to existing
drugs in order to improve their therapeutic profiles. Our initial development
efforts are focused on peptide hormones. Our most advanced product candidate,
VIAject®, has been studied in two pivotal Phase 3 clinical trials for the
treatment of patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes is a disease characterized by abnormally high levels of blood
glucose and inadequate levels of insulin. Glucose is a simple sugar used by all
