ACE Limited (ACE) is a Bermuda-based holding company incorporated with limited
liability under the Cayman Islands Companies Law. ACE and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries (collectively, the ACE Group of Companies, the Company,
we, us, or our) are a global property and casualty insurance and reinsurance
organization. We provide a diversified range of products and services to
commercial and individual customers in more than 140 countries and
jurisdictions.
We have grown our business through increased premium volume, expansion of
product offerings and geographic reach, and acquisition of other companies. On
December 14, 2007, we entered into a stock purchase agreement with Aon
Corporation, pursuant to which we have agreed to purchase all the outstanding
shares of capital stock of Combined Insurance Company of America (Combined) and
